Hi, I’m Reinalisa—founder of Sala Design Co., an interior design studio rooted in culture, creativity, and connection.

The name Sala—Spanish for “living room”—holds deep meaning for me. It’s a tribute to my heritage and a reflection of my earliest memories: growing up in the heart of Chicago, watching my mother turn the most modest spaces into warm, welcoming environments full of heart. She showed me that design isn’t just about beauty—it’s about intention, resourcefulness, and the feeling a space can give you.

Those early lessons stayed with me, shaping the way I approach every home. They taught me to uncover the story a space holds and to craft interiors that are both practical and profoundly personal. I later earned my BFA in Interior Design from Columbia College Chicago and Watkins College of Art, Design & Film, which helped me turn that passion into a profession.

I started Sala Design Co. after over a decade of crafting residential and commercial interiors, driven by a single belief: a home should reflect the heart of those who inhabit it. My work honors both form and soul, transforming spaces into environments that welcome you and reflect the life and story you bring to them.

My work is guided by storytelling, culture, and a deep appreciation for architectural detail and thoughtful design solutions.
