Hi, I’m Reinalisa—founder of Sala Design Co., an interior design studio rooted in culture, creativity, and connection.

The name Sala—Spanish for “living room”—holds deep meaning for me. It’s a tribute to my heritage and a reflection of my earliest memories: growing up in the heart of Chicago, watching my mother turn the most modest spaces into warm, welcoming environments full of heart. She showed me that design isn’t just about beauty—it’s about intention, resourcefulness, and the feeling a space can give you.

That early influence shaped everything. It taught me to see the soul in every space and sparked a lifelong passion for interiors that are both functional and deeply personal. I later earned my BFA in Interior Design from Columbia College Chicago and Watkins College of Art, Design & Film, which helped me turn that passion into a profession.

With over a decade of experience in both residential and commercial design, I launched Sala Design Co. to help others create spaces that feel like home—not just in style but truly embody the warmth and essence of home. My work is guided by storytelling, culture, and a deep appreciation for architectural detail and thoughtful design solutions. Whether I'm guiding a full renovation or offering design resources for DIY homeowners, my goal is always the same: to help you feel confident and connected to the spaces you build and place you call home.
